Michael Sweeney is a composer who works for Hal Leonard Corporation, the largest publisher of printed music in the world.  He graduated with a degree in music education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.  He taught for five years in public schools in Ohio and Indiana, where he worked with concert band, jazz band, and marching band from elementary to high school levels.  Sweeney has written over 500 works, and he is especially well-known for his works for younger concert band and jazz ensembles.
